Celebrating National Nurse Practitioner Week at Uplift For Her
National Nurse Practitioner Week runs November 8 through 14, 2026, and we are using it to celebrate the nurse practitioners (NPs) at Uplift For Her. If you’ve ever searched for a women's health specialist near you, wondered whether an NP is the right fit, or simply wanted a provider who takes the time to listen, this week is for you too. It is a chance to learn what NPs do and how they can support your hormones, energy, metabolism, and whole-body health.
Why Do Nurse Practitioners Matter?
Nurse practitioners are a wonderful part of our integrative team. Women across Utah who are looking for health support can see one of our NPs and receive personalized, evidence-based care at every stage of life. Guided by our founder, Dr. Mallorie Cracroft, our NPs help bridge the gap between conventional and functional medicine. They receive extensive training in women’s health, integrative medicine, hormones, and weight loss so they can look at the whole picture instead of only treating one symptom. They take the time to listen and create structured doable plans that really get results.
NPs matter well beyond our clinic, too. The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) reports that Americans make nearly a billion visits to NPs each year, and that patients report high levels of satisfaction with their care. National Nurse Practitioner Week is a chance to recognize the people behind those visits.
What Can a Nurse Practitioner at Uplift For Her Help With?
Our NPs see patients through three types of visits:
- Hormone, energy, and metabolism consultation: a lifestyle-first plan for perimenopause and menopause symptoms, hormone imbalance, irregular or painful periods, PMOS, fatigue, weight changes, insulin resistance, and thyroid concerns, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) when appropriate.
- Annual wellness + labs visit: a comprehensive lab panel reviewed with you in detail, so you leave with clear next steps and personalized recommendations.
- Preconception care: A comprehensive review of your health and labs to identify any gaps in your health that should be optimized to aim for the healthiest mom and baby possible.
Depending on your needs, your NP can help you run and understand your lab results, make sense of your symptoms, address hormonal changes, and build a personalized plan for whole-body healing. Common concerns include weight changes, hair loss, fatigue, PMS, and insulin resistance. Our clinic also supports patients with PMOS (previously called PCOS), and other conditions such as PMDD and MCAS.
How Do I Know If an NP Is Right for Me, and How Do I Find One?
Many women come to Uplift For Her looking for a provider who focuses on prevention, explains the "why" behind a plan, and has time for real conversation. Like our physicians, An NP may be a great fit if you want a partner for ongoing hormone, energy, or metabolism support, or a clear starting point for your health. If you have a complex or acute condition, a physician may be the better first stop, and a good NP will tell you so.
Here is what that looks like with our two nurse practitioners.
Kelley Keenan, DNP, WHNP-BC, CNM, MSCP, is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner, certified nurse-midwife, and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner who focuses on hormone management, menopause care, and metabolic health. She describes her approach as rooted in the holistic, empowering support she once received from a nurse-midwife, pairing "evidence-based guidance with deep respect for my goals and preferences."
Jennifer Griffin, RN, BSN, DNP, MSCP, is a family nurse practitioner and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner who began her career as a registered nurse on a surgical oncology floor. That experience shaped her prevention-first, upstream approach to care. In her words, "Navigating healthcare can be overwhelming, but I am here to guide and support you every step of the way." Her patients say:
"Jennifer listened to all my concerns and didn't dismiss them." (H.C.)
"For the first time ever I feel like I have clear answers on what each of the bloodwork indicators mean." (M.H.)
Here is what to expect when you book with either of them:
- Visit length: initial hormone, energy, and metabolism visits and annual wellness + labs visits are 60 minutes, and preconception visits are 45 minutes, so there is time to talk through your full story.
- Before your visit: complete your intake forms, and for wellness + labs and preconception visits, get your blood draw done at least two weeks ahead so your results are ready to review together.
- After your visit: you leave with a personalized plan and clear next steps, with follow-up visits for lab review, symptom monitoring, and medication management when you need them.
To find an NP, start by confirming that they are licensed in your state. If you are in Utah, you can meet our team and book directly, or take our care finder quiz on our website to see which appointment fits. Not sure yet? Our free 15-minute discovery call is a low-pressure way to ask questions first. Note that patients must be physically located in Utah at the time of their appointment.
